Neighborly kid finds a fan in Jordan Spieth during John Deere Classic
By Ryan M. Jaster,
23 days agoA nice note from a kid to a PGA star turned into “a kind act” that left a mother expressing “gratitude and appreciation.”
“I have total appreciation for someone like that.”
Yvonne Gehring’s 11-year-old daughter, Stella, found out that Jordan Spieth was staying down the street from her for the John Deere Classic and decided to leave a handwritten note on his porch introducing herself.
She wished him good luck with words of encouragement and jokingly said he could use her family’s pool to cool off from the high heat.
While he never used the pool, Spieth stopped by early Sunday morning and left a personalized, autographed hat on her porch that reads, “To Stella – Jordan Spieth.”
Stella was overjoyed, as you can see in the picture she shared with Our Quad Cities News.
“My husband is a big golf fan and we’ve been in the Quad Cities since before he first won here,” Yvonne said. “We followed him and always thought he was a class act, and this just solidifies that.”

The rescue recently shared Joey’s story: “Joey wants to remind you that age is just a number. Even though he’s well into his golden years, Joey isn’t slowing down.” After surviving “a hoarding situation and finally getting the fresh start he deserved,” Joey has thrown himself into what matters most to him now, connection, spending his days “hopping from one lap to the next” as if to make up for lost time.

Contractor Took $40,000 for Home Repairs... Then Allegedly Built a Baseball Card Collection Instead!
You know, when you hire a contractor, you have certain expectations. Maybe they’ll show up a little late. Maybe they’ll disappear for three days because they’re "waiting on materials." Maybe they'll spend half the day leaning against a truck discussing the weather with another guy who's also apparently on an extended coffee break.
