Warrant issued for man after Rock Island shooting

22 days agoA warrant has been issued for a man after Rock Island Police received several reports of shots fired yesterday.
A news release from the department said on Monday, July 6th at about 4:22 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of 30th Street in response to multiple reports of shots fired. When they arrived, officers learned that a 34-year-old woman had sustained a single gunshot wound and the suspect had fled the scene. The victim was taken to UnityPoint-Trinity Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound. No other injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
The suspect in this incident has been identified as 39-year old Danny Robinson. Arrest warrants have been issued for Robinson for aggravated battery with a firearm, a Class X felony and three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, a Class 1 felony. Robinson should be considered an armed and dangerous fugitive.
