By Linda Cook,
12 hours agoOak Street in Muscatine will be reduced to one lane of traffic between 2nd and 5th streets, from Tuesday, Aug. 4 -Friday, Aug. 2, a news release says.
The northbound lane will be closed to accommodate a crane assisting in the installation of a new roof section at the HNI Oak Steel Plant. The east side sidewalk of Oak Street will also be closed during this time.
Drivers should follow posted traffic-control signs and use alternate routes, if possible. The recommended detour is Mulberry Avenue. Pedestrians should use the west side sidewalk.
