A verdict has been reached on the second day of the trial of the superintendent of the Mercer County School District who was accused, along with two others, of illegally accessing student records.

Our Quad Cities News had a crew in the courtroom this morning when Timothy Farquer, now 54, was acquitted of all eight charges he faced in Mercer County Court by Judge Norma Kauzlarich. He had faced four counts of official misconduct/forbidden act, two counts of disclosing hospital/medical information and two counts of computer tampering/obtaining data. He was placed on leave after being arrested last fall, along with Andrea Long and Amberly Norton.

Both Norton and Long are scheduled for pretrial conferences in Mercer County Court in Aledo on August 10.
