Moline Library to host Local Authors Showcase

Meet talented writers, learn about their writing process, and purchase copies of their published works at Moline Public Library’s Local Author Showcase, a news release says.

The second annual celebration of local literary talent will be 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, Aug. 22, in the library’s meeting room. Explore works from several Quad City area authors and discover books for every reader, with genres and topics to suit every age and interest, including:

• Jeff Adamson (“Twisted Tales of the Quad Cities,” “Missing Movie Theatres”)

• Nora Ambler (“Stowaway,” “Ballet Is My Boyfriend”)

• Mike Bayles (“Ghosts Order the Daily Special”)

• Anbar Bermejo (“Monstruo: A Beauty and the Beast Novela”)

• Miles Carrera (“Introducing Plush the Purple Pup” and “Joey the Blue Rhinoceros”)

• Matt Fredericks and Ellie Fredericks (“Max and the Space Shuttle Mystery”)
