DERECHO hits Quad Cities Tuesday morning

6 years and one day after the worst derecho ever in the Quad Cities, another one hit us early Tuesday morning. The Storm Prediction Center has given the preliminary classification of a derecho to the line of storms that rolled across the Midwest Tuesday.

Storm winds were at their worst around Chicago and Gary, Indiana. They peaked around 100 mph.
