UPDATE: South Bluff Boulevard, Clinton, will reopen to traffic as other work progresses

Beginning Wednesday morning, Aug. 19, 2026, South Bluff Boulevard - between 2nd Avenue South and 5th Avenue South - will be reopened to traffic in Clinton, a news release says.

Traffic will remain head-to-head through this area until additional work can be completed.

Once South Bluff Boulevard is reopened, South 9th Street will be closed between 6th Avenue South and South Bluff Boulevard so crews can complete the remaining work in that area. The closure is expected to last about two weeks.

Provided work progresses as planned and weather conditions remain favorable, South 9th Street should reopen by the beginning of the day on Friday, Sept. 4.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, follow posted detours and traffic control devices, and use caution when traveling through the construction zone.
