A chance of severe weather this evening
By Sean Kennedy,
2026-08-21Before we head into what is looking to be a very nice weekend in the Quad Cities, we are watching for some storms later today.
The futurecast is showing these storms developing later in the afternoon and into the evening with potentially strong storms.
Depending on where these storms start to develop, there is the chance that they will pop up in our area through the evening.
And so, the National Weather Service is giving us a slight risk of severe weather with the chance of strong winds and heavy rain, as well as large hail and potential tornadoes.
