(McKinney, TX) -- Rapper BigXthaPlug, scheduled to perform at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand tonight, was arrested in Texas on Friday. The rapper, whose real name is Xavier Landum, was booked into the Collin County Jail on charges of driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm. On Saturday, Mindy Williamson with the Iowa State Fair issued a statement saying, "We are aware of reports regarding BigXthaPlug. We are in communication with his agent and at this time, we have been told he will still be performing."

A widening food recall connected to a multistate Salmonella outbreak now covers dips, salsas, guacamole and prepared meals sold by some of America's largest grocery chains. Taylor Fresh Foods announced the voluntary recall on Aug. 9 after learning that jalapeno supplier Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling peppers because of possible Salmonella contamination.
