Extreme Heat Warning in the Quad Cities

1 days agoThings have gotten to a very hot start in the Quad Cities for this week hitting the 90s on Monday and still hitting 90s today.
An extreme heat warning has been issued for most counties in our viewing area, including the metro Quad Cities of Scott and Rock Island County until Friday evening with more mid 90s and triple digits feels like temperatures.
Since the start of the week and including this Wednesday, we have already gotten 3 days straight in the 90s.
Including today that brings our total of 90 degree days for the year up to 19 with at least 2 more 90s to go for Thursday and Friday.

7-Eleven clerk revives three overdosed customers
A 7-Eleven clerk in Denver has resuscitated three customers with Narcan in the past few months, and one of the rescues was witnessed by this reporter. Arica Crowley works in the 7-Eleven across from Quebec Square. She said she didn’t sign up to save lives when she applied at the retailer but doesn’t mind the extra duty. She said what disappoints her most is that many people, when revived, become angry and storm off without accepting further help. Coming out of the high with Narcan has been described as a hellacious experience.

Missing since 1981 from Cedaredge, Colorado: Roger John Ellison was 17 when he mysteriously vanished
Roger John Ellison has been missing from Cedaredge, Colorado (Delta County), since February 10, 1981, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). His photo above (right) is an age-progressed likeness of how he might have looked at 48, though he would now be 63 if alive.
