By Linda Cook,
8 days agoArgrow’s House of Healing and Hope invites the public to its ninth annual Fundraising Gala: Shimmering Hope, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the J Bar & Holiday Inn & Suites, 4215 Elmore Ave., Davenport, according to a news release
Argrow's House is a safe space in the greater Quad Cities region, where free services are offered daily for women healing from violence. Services range from domestic-violence support groups, counseling services, and more. Argrow's House is also a café, food truck, and bath and body business where women healing from abuse create products that provide a living wage for themselves.
Guests will celebrate Argrow's House with live music, food, inspiring stories, and an evening honoring women survivors and celebrating resilience, healing, and hope.
All proceeds from the evening go to the continued growth of Argrow’s House social enterprise programming and the launch of the Hope University therapy initiative.
Attendees will enjoy live music, food, and updates of the new Argrow’s House Food Truck program, catering, bath & body, and Argrow’s formal social-enterprise training program. A panel of Argrow’s social-enterprise graduates will hold a discussion.
"The gathering will be a celebration of all that we’ve accomplished together as well as an important night for the future as we continue to serve women and children survivors of violence in the Quad Cities region," the release says. The goal is to raise $150,000 for Argrow’s programming efforts.
Tickets are available for purchase here until Sept. 17.
