Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley hosts cleanup day

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley brought volunteers to Sylvan Island for some cleanup work.

High school students and families, Big Brothers Big Sisters and City of Moline employees worked together to clean up the park. Mayor pro tem Alan Silas presented a proclamation declaring September National Big Brothers Big Sisters Month. Organizers say it's about both cleaning up the island and shining a light on the volunteers who make the mission possible.
