Muscatine County

Section of Muscatine County road will close to traffic for paving project

Beginning Tuesday, September 22, 230th Street (G28) between Iowa Highway 70 and the intersection of Atwood Avenue will be closed to traffic for a PCC paving project, according to the Muscatine County Road Department.

Construction is anticipated to be suspended late this fall and resume in the spring of 2027. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by Aug. 27, 2027, weather permitting.

Traffic will be detoured using Iowa Highway 70 to Nichols and Iowa Highway 22 to Lone Tree. Residents are advised to use the designated detour and exercise caution while traveling on it.
