Vax & Wags offers free vaccine clinic for dogs

The Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC), the Humane Society of Scott County, St. Anthony Catholic Church and St. John Vianney Catholic Church are hosting Vax & Wags, a free vaccine clinic for dogs on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 417 North Main Street in Davenport.
The event makes essential veterinary care more accessible to local pet families by providing free rabies and distemper/parvo vaccines for dogs. The clinic will provide up to 200 free rabies vaccines and 200 free distemper/parvo vaccines while supplies last. QCAWC’s Mobile Vet Van and veterinary team will be on site administering vaccines and helping pet guardians throughout the event.
All dogs attending Vax & Wags must be on a secure leash. Retractable leashes will not be permitted for the safety of the dogs, their families, volunteers and veterinary team. There will be a special Blessing of the Animals at 10 a.m.
“At QCAWC, we believe access to basic veterinary care should not be out of reach for families who love their pets,” said Patti McRae, Executive Director of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. “Vaccinations are an important part of keeping dogs healthy and protecting our community. We are grateful to our partners for coming together to make this free event possible.”

Baby Jane Doe was found abandoned in Washington, D.C., on March 20, 1998. She would now be 28, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). As of today, seven missing children from Washington, D.C. are listed with the NCMEC, and the oldest case dates back to 1961. Notably, not all missing children are reported to the NCMEC, but they should be.

Missing since 2023 from Redmond, Washington: Noah and Oliver Richard have had little media focus
Noah Henry Richard has been missing from Redmond, Washington, since December 14, 2023, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Noah, pictured above, was two when he went missing, but he would now be five years old. His brother, Oliver Richard (pictured below), was only seven months old when he also went missing on the same date. Oliver would now be three.
