Four QC musicians will present benefit concert for Humane Society of Scott County

Four professional Quad Cities musicians will use their music to make a difference for animals in the Quad Cities community.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, a benefit concert for the Humane Society of Scott County will be held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 121 W. 12th St., Davenport.
The concert will feature Lynne Stukart, flute; Tyné Rieck, bassoon; Michael Elsbernd, piano and organ; and Michelle Crouch, voice. The program will carry listeners through a range of styles with uplifting music, all presented within the setting and acoustics of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.
Admission is by free-will donation, with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Scott County.

Three Gentle Giants Found Wandering Together: Now They Just Need Someone to Choose Them
Three Mastiff-mix dogs, Chance, Duncan and Isabel, are ready to trade their wandering days for permanent homes, according to the Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts. The shelter recently introduced them with an invitation to adopters: “Meet Chance, Duncan + Isabel… three VERY big reasons to fall in love,” adding that each dog arrived after being found roaming together in Stoughton and is now looking for “a home of their own.”
