6 hours agoWhile it's traditionally known as part of the Corn Belt region, Iowa can now lay claim to coming in at number three in states loving candy corn!
Producing nearly 20 million pounds every year and making up the vast majority of candy corn sold in the U.S., Brach’s has released new data listing the top 10 states for the treat:
- Kansas
- Utah
- Iowa
- Oklahoma
- Missouri
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Tennessee
- Michigan
- Alabama
Last year, the 11 oz. bag of Brach’s Candy Corn was the top fall confection in the seasonal candy aisle. Brach’s has been producing candy corn since the 1920s.

The One Crispy Apple I'm Choosing Over Honeycrisp Right Now
Learn about an apple variety that is super crisp and firm that I am getting at apple orchards over Honeycrisp this month. It took a long time from when the Crimson Crisp apple was first bred until it was available to be grown commercially. It was first developed in the 1970s by the PRI (Purdue, Rutgers, and Illnois) co-operative. It wasn't until 2006 that the apple was released for growers. That is a long time in the development process. You don't get rich quick by developing a new apple variety!
