La La Land Kind Cafe Opens First Frisco Location

L a La Land Kind Cafe is officially opening its first Frisco location, months after plans for the North Texas coffee shop were first announced . The new drive-thru cafe at 11660 Legacy Drive will celebrate its grand opening on Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with 50% off all drinks and toast, giveaways and freebies for some of its first customers. The opening brings another La La Land location to North Texas, where the Dallas-born brand has continued expanding since opening its first cafe in 2019. What To Expect Opening Day The first 200 drive-thru customers will receive a signature yellow cup, La La Land bag and sticker, according to the cafe's grand-opening announcement. The first 50 customers will also receive additional surprises while supplies last. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 8 a.m. La La Land is also giving away five $100 gift cards through Instagram. The giveaway runs through Aug. 22, with entries available by following the cafe's account, liking the promotional post and tagging friends. A Salmonella Recall Now Reaches Walmart, Target, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods

A widening food recall connected to a multistate Salmonella outbreak now covers dips, salsas, guacamole and prepared meals sold by some of America's largest grocery chains. Taylor Fresh Foods announced the voluntary recall on Aug. 9 after learning that jalapeno supplier Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling peppers because of possible Salmonella contamination. The affected jalapenos came from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as the likely source of an ongoing outbreak.
